TCD and Vasospasm

This course is designed to prepare participants to perform Transcranial Doppler (TCD) in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH) patients. This course includes a 1 hour and 10-minute webinar with a 20-question quiz. Upon completion of the quiz with a passing grade of 80% or better, a 2 CME certificate through the Society for Vascular Ultrasound is provided.

• Highlighting the necessary information health care providers need to perform TCD in Vasospasm.
• Reviewing the types of strokes, significance of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), overview of the cerebral anatomy, how to perform TCD in SAH, and common protocols used for performing TCD in Vasospasm.
• Outlining specific patient case studies and the diagnostic criteria commonly used today in TCD with SAH.
• Describing the factors that affect cerebral blood flow, including the treatment methods used for vasospasm, SAH, and cerebral aneurysms.
